COUNTRYSIDE PRODUCTIVITY SMALL GRANT SCHEME
To help farmers boost their productivity the Government is offering farmers and landowners the chance to apply for grants to fund 40% of the standard cost of eligible items. The minimum grant size is £3,000 and the maximum grant size is £12,000.
The grant can be used for:
· Cattle specific equipment;
· Sheep specific equipment;
· Pig specific equipment;
· General livestock specific equipment;
· Precision farming inc. horticulture specific equipment;
· Resource management and efficiency equipment;
· Other general equipment.
Eligible items include mobile cattle handling systems, sheep handlers, weigh systems, cameras for monitoring livestock and grain stirrers to name a few. The full list of items can be found in the Countryside Productivity Small Grant Scheme (CPSG) Round 2 Handbook.
Farmer’s awarded funding under Scheme 1 can apply for further funding, but the two applications combined cannot exceed the value of £12,000. The closing date for the scheme is the 3rd September 2019.
